WINDOWS 2000 - INTERNET ACCOUNT SETUP Setting
up your Internet Account - Internet Explorer 1.
Turn on your computer. If your computer is on already, make sure you
have closed any other running programs. (Note: If you have an icon
called MSN Internet Setup, you must delete it in order to setup your
account with ArdenNet.)
3. Double click [Make New Connection]
4. Click on [Next]
5. Select [Dial-up to the Internet]
7. Choose [a phone line and modem] to
connect to the Internet
8. Next window, [Type the phone number you dial to connect to your ISP.] Type in the phone number listed on you Account Information Sheet, then uncheck the box "Dial using the area code and country code."
9. Next window will ask for your [User Name and
Password] Type in your <User Name> (e.g.i000288) and <Account
Password> EXACTLY as listed on your Account Information Sheet. ![]() 10. Next window will ask for a connection name. You may use the default name or change it to ArdenNet. This is used to label and identify the connection. Click [Next]
11. At the [Set Up Your Internet Mail Account] window, select [Yes] if you want the Internet Connection Wizard to setup your e-mail service using Outlook Express.

At the [E-mail Server Names] window , make sure the "My
incoming mail server" is "POP." Type in "pop.ardennet.com"
for the "Incoming mail" server. Type in "smtp.ardennet.com"
for the "Outgoing mail" server. Click [Next].

At the [Internet Mail Logon] window, type in the E-mail User Name
according to your Account Information Sheet stated as "Account
name." Type in the E-mail Password according to your Account
Information Sheet stated as "Password." Make sure the
"Remember password" box is checked. Click [Next].
